This piece is beautiful. It's a perfectly round cut flat disc cut from a gorgeous abalone shell. It's encased by a brass wire that twists into a circular ring and is soldered at the base. There is an unusual oblong open piece from which to hang it. It may have been originally attached to a watch chain or chatelaine. Slightly larger than a quarter.
