Fabulous 1920s red and black beaded reticule or drawstring bag. This small handbag is in excellent condition. These bags were very popular in the 1920s as was the red and black color combination. There are no rips, tears, or missing beads. The threads showing on the sides of the drawstring are where the bag was finished off. They are not loose threads and could be easily cut off if you choose. The stitching is immaculate aside from the visible had stitching where the drawstring has been most likely replaced. The drawstring is tied up but can be adjusted to your liking. The beads are glass and are faceted. The black beads have an iridescent finish adding an extra bit of sparkle. The lining is in excellent condition with no visible signs of wear.
