Rare and beautifully unusual pair of victorian glass seed bead earrings. Clearly handmade of fabric backed seed bead buttons with post style earring backs. The beads are a gorgeous blackish grey similar to hematite and set in a circular pattern with both round and small tubular beads. You can see the hand stitching on the back where the fabric has been sewn. Subtle yet fabulous one of a kind pair of earrings. Most likely these were made from buttons discarded off a dress. Hematite was widely used in Victorian era mourning jewelry. Item Dimensions: 3/4" x 5/8" Post style backs
